Latin NCAP result update: Nissan New Kicks’ 2025 five stars are confirmed for Brazilian made version
10.13.2026

The New Car Assessment Programme for Latin America and the Caribbean updates the result for the Nissan New Kicks—tested in 2025—ahead of the release of the first results under the new assessment protocol.

Latin NCAP tested in 2025 the Nissan New Kicks made in Mexico and achieved five stars. At that moment Latin NCAP announced that when the Brazilian made version of the New Kicks becomes available in the market it will be audited to confirm or not that both versions offer the same safety rating.

Latin NCAP performed the audit test of the Nissan New Kicks made in Brazil and the model showed overall good performance, enough to confirm the five-star rating achieved by the Mexican version. Following the door opening recorded in the side impact of the Mexican made New Kicks, the Brazilian version did not show it, explained by an improvement implemented by Nissan in both production lines. Other differences noticed in the Brazilian version were the unstable footwell area and marginal whiplash protection explained by some differences in the seats. The model was tested as a voluntary decision of the manufacturer.

After the audit assessment it was confirmed that the five star result of the Mexican Nissan New Kicks is also valid for the Brazilian made Nissan New Kicks. the performance of the model was updated to 86.29% in Adult Occupant, 91.66% in Child Occupant, 72.79% in Pedestrian Protection and Vulnerable Road Users and 85.17% in Safety Assist.
