Latin NCAP audited the Toyota Fortuner (SW4) a Hilux family member
04.07.2016
The Toyota Fortuner (SW4) is the SUV version of the Hilux. It was crash tested in ADAC as an audit test to check if the SUV offers the same protection levels as the Hiluxs tested in 2015 (ver video)
Latin NCAP found a solid consistency between the protection offered by the SUV compared to the pick-ups versions, even performing better in some biomechanical aspects. With this result the star rating for the Hilux can be now applied and extended to the Fortuner or SW4 versions as well.
Latin NCAP congratulates Toyota for this achievement and encourages all other manufacturers to follow Toyota’s path in order to offer safer cars in Latin America.
